Pollen brought Gorillaz’s trippy virtual world to life in the immersive, award‑winning “Saturnz Barz (Spirit House)” film—developed for Google Spotlight Stories and directed by Jamie Hewlett. With over 160 million views and a UK Music Video Award nomination, the project showcases a hauntingly surreal haunted‑house aesthetic that leads to space monsters, a singing pizza and golf on the moon. Pollen provided musical direction, sound supervision and design and immersive spatial audio for the experience. Pollen mixed in 3 studios (London, SF, LA) for 6 different formats (5.1, Atmos, Interactive, Non-Linear, YouTube 360, Stereo) on the same day! The video made history as the highest‑debuting VR video on YouTube, with over 3 million views in 48 hours.
